FINANCE AND OFFICE MANAGER
Part-Time Permanent Position | 1.5 - 2 days per week | June Start
Hybrid Office-based and WFH | Chestnut Studios, Sutton Mandeville, Wiltshire
MouseCode is a boutique digital agency based in Wiltshire between Salisbury and Shaftesbury. We work with clients across a wide range of sectors including food, drink and hospitality, interiors and leisure and lifestyle to name a few, designing and developing websites, optimising through SEO and paid campaigns, and ongoing website strategy and maintenance.
As a Finance and Office Manager you will be responsible for managing the company's financial records and performing various administrative tasks related to human resources and general office needs. This role requires a high level of organisation, accuracy, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and basic HR functions.
Bookkeeping:
- Raise one-off sales invoices or recurring invoices within Xero
- Make payments to contractors and suppliers
- Reconcile the bank statement
- Chase unpaid invoices
- Send statements to clients when requested
- Prepare and send quarterly VAT return
- Liaise with team and clients regarding ad hoc requests
Accounting:
- Prepare regular performance analysis reports
- Post payroll journals
- Prepare and submit annual corporation tax return
- Prepare and submit year end accounts to Companies House
- Cash management using savings account to maximise the return on surplus cash
- Maintain cashflow reports
- Maintain the accounting system analysis codes to improve reporting capabilities
- Manage company costs, keeping on top of subscriptions and their prices
- Prepare adhoc analysis on areas of the business as requested
- Set up a payroll system and process the monthly payroll for the team
Office & HR Management:
- Liaise with landlord of office space when required
- Prepare and send business gifts and cards for clients
- Conduct research into new products or desired platforms
- Draw up employee and client contracts
- Maintain stock of office supplies
- Maintain holiday request calendar
- Manage the on and off-boarding of employees
- Book travel when required
Essential Experience Required:
- Qualified accountant
- Xero
- VAT Returns
- Excellent Excel and Google Sheet skills
- Payroll
- Similar role experience for 1 year+
Salary:
Salary dependent on experience
