DIGITAL ASSISTANT

2-3 Month Paid Internship becoming a Full Time Permanent role in September 2024 


Hybrid role | Chestnut Studios, Sutton Mandeville, Wiltshire

MouseCode is a boutique digital agency based in Wiltshire between Salisbury and Shaftesbury. We work with clients across a wide range of sectors including food, drink and hospitality, interiors and leisure and lifestyle to name a few, designing and developing websites, optimising with SEO and paid campaigns, ongoing website strategy, and maintenance.

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Digital Assistant who is able to manage a variety of tasks for both our clients and the agency simultaneously. The Digital Assistant will be responsible for supporting our growing team with digital marketing briefs, basic campaign management, client analytics reports, and helping to run our social media channels. The role will also include general client administration, maintaining internal systems, liaising with our team and general day to day client and partner agency communication.

This is a varied and exciting role with opportunity for learning new skills and developing your digital knowledge. All we ask is that you have a passion for all things digital and are good with numbers.

The role would begin with a 2-3 month paid internship over the quieter summer period to gain experience of the business and learn the skills required for the permanent role starting at the beginning of September.

The responsibilities will include:

- Assisting all members of the team with day to day tasks
- Liaising with clients and relaying briefs to our performance team (PPC and SEO)
- Liaising with our partner agencies
- Reviewing client websites
- Creating monthly GA4 reports for clients
- Creating quarterly SEO reports for clients
- Reviewing and analysing monthly PPC reports for clients
- Serving as the day to day contact for clients when required
- Editing images and uploading content to client websites
- Managing MouseCode’s own website, making updates, SEO optimisations and reporting
- Helping to run MouseCode’s social media channels, implementing our new strategy

The ideal candidate would have:

- Proficiency in IT and would be a quick learner
- Experience in managing social media channels
- A good understanding of GA4
- An understanding of online paid advertising channels
- Strong and confident communication skills
- Strong written skills and a focus on attention to detail
- Analytical skills that can be developed for reporting and SEO
- Good industry knowledge and an interest in website trends

Nice to have, but not essential:

- Experience with a website CMS, e.g. WordPress and Shopify
- Experience using Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Calendar in particular)
- Experience using Semrush
- Experience with basic copy writing for websites
- A basic understanding of HTML and CSS
- Experience using Adobe Creative suite (InDesign, Photoshop, XD)
